Who needs to file taxes in Portugal?

Anyone who is a Portugal tax resident needs to file a Portuguese tax return. Non-Portugal tax residents who earned income in Portugal may also be required to file taxes (e.g. if you earned rental income from a property in Portugal).

Do I need to file taxes in Portugal if I didn't earn any income?

Portuguese tax residents who do not earn any income, but hold foreign bank accounts need to file a tax return. If you only need to report your foreign bank accounts, you can sign up for our Lite package.

Do I need to file taxes in Portugal if my income is earned outside of Portugal?

Portuguese tax residents need to file taxes and report their worldwide income in Portugal.

Can I use your tax filing service if I don't live in Portugal but have income in Portugal?
