How to get a Certificate of No Debt (Certidão de Divida e Não Divida)

Overview

A Certificate of No Debt (Certidão de Divida e Não Divida) is a document that verifies whether an individual or a company is clear of any outstanding debts to the Portuguese Tax Authorities.

Step 1: Log in to Portal das Finanças

1. Go to https://www.portaldasfinancas.gov.pt/

2. Click on the Iniciar Sessão button at the top right corner of the page.

3. Click on the NIF tab.

4. Enter your NIF number. Where can I find my NIF number?

5. Enter your password.

6. Click the Autenticar button.

Step 2: Navigate to the Request Certificate page

1. Search for the keyword Pedir Certidão using the search bar at the top of the page.

2. Find “Pedir Certidão” and click Aceder.

Step 3: Download your Certificate of No Debt (Certidão de Divida e Não Divida)

1. In the dropdown menu, select Divida e Não Divida then click the Confirmar button.

2. Click the Certidão button.
